Library celebrating its 72 years of official existence. Since 1953, the animation is provided only by volunteers.
Its founders set themselves the goal of "presenting classical and contemporary authors from all over the world, based on authentic progressive and popular literature" and adding, "living in peace in a better world".
Even today, with its collection of some 35,000 books, the aim is to enable everyone to think for themselves, to make people aware that being a citizen means participating in political life at all levels (local, regional and national) in order to become "citizens of the world". This is why the library is an association that declares itself a citizen because "beyond the satisfaction of its members, it intends to address the general interest and concern for the common good.
The visit can lead to see the original content of its livresque background with in particular books that are today practically unobtainable on the second world war, the deportation, the war of Spain...
