Echoing the welcome of the artist Rosana Paulino, on the occasion of Expression(s) décoloniale#4 and as part of The Night of Museums and the Month of Memories with, on May 10, the National Day of Memories of the Slave Trade, Slavery and their Abolitions and, on May 23, the National Day in tribute to the victims of colonial slavery.
Karla da Silva, the Brazilian artist who thrilled the audience with Au hours d'été dans les douves in July 2025, returns to the castle with a new project. It proposes to return to the foundations of samba, the samba de roda, the samba chula, the samba de terreiro and the samba de caboclo. It is the samba before the samba—that before the radio, the stage and the market. The samba as a rite, a body, a land. The samba is the beating heart of everything. Born in the Bahian Recôncavo, she is both dance, song and community.
